This peak is on BLM land but private property has to be crossed to get to BLM boundaries. The closest approach to the peak is from a road marked private property just past a residence on CR 12. We drove up the road past the residence and then back down trying to figure out what to do when we decided to simply ask the owner if we could start from his property.

The very nice fellow granted us permission to park on the road marked private property so back up CR 12 we went. We began at 12:00 noon and headed due east. This was a steep bushwhack initially but eased up and we arrived on the summit in short order. Staying only a few minutes, we descended without issue and were back at our trucks at 12:50.

We drove over to Jack Hall Mountain and were dismayed to see the road gated and marked no trespassing. Jack Hall Mountain is on BLM land but one could skirt the private property to regain the road on BLM land. We turned around, perhaps to do another day. Short day today.
