Elevation gain: 1,955'

While driving the Peru Creek road yesterday, we noticed the road going up Cinnamon Gulch wasn't gated. That's the road we wanted for these peaks today and were able to drive it to 11,460', where a barrier of rocks placed on the road blocked further travel. So we parked off the road nearby and began at 8:40 AM, happy to get the high elevation start. It didn't take long for the road to narrow and disappear so we continued up the steep rocky drainage to the ridge west of Revenue Mountain. Once we reached the ridge it was an easy stroll to the summit. We arrived at 9:50 and stayed on top (photo 1, photo 2) for fifteen minutes.
We departed at 10:05 and hiked the tundra (photo 1, photo 2) over to Decatur Mountain. It only took 50 minutes to reach Decatur, arrival time was 10:55, and we stayed 30 minutes. It was chilly and windy but the skies were clear. We enjoyed the views (photo 1, photo 2) before descending at 11:25.
We headed back to the Revenue/Decatur saddle and dropped down the grassy slopes all the way to the road. This might be a better ascent route for both peaks because it avoids the steep drainage we took to Revenue. We reached our parking area at 12:10.
